What is Sharky Bids?

Spicy Bids

While at first glance the site may seem "too good to be true", you will find that with our unique auction concept in place, it all fits together.

The way the site works is that we allow our users to raise the price by a maximum of 0.01 with each bid they place on an auction.

There is a small fee for every bid placed, currently between 0.40-0.60 USD depending on the Bid Package Purchased. Thanks to this, we are able to provide our members with some of the most incredible bargains online, run the site and provide free shipping. Thanks to the fee, we also keep the amount of total outbids low, as there is a clear, strong incentive to not bid pointlessly over other users, like what you may see on other traditional online auction sites. This keeps the prices low on the items.

Since our launch, we have sold much over 3200 ridiculous bargains and received thousands of new members on the site.

For those reading this, who are not yet familiar with how our auctions work, here is a quick guide:

1. You purchase bids (this service fee gives you the right to bid and supports the site. You buy them in packs. The bids are then loaded onto your account.)

2. You bid on an item (once your bid is placed, the price of the item goes up by 0.01 and the auction timer resets to a predetermined time of for example 15 seconds)

3. You wait for the time to run out (if nobody else outbids you within the time countdown, usually around 15 seconds then you win the auction!)

4. You confirm your win. No need to pay the final price. The item will be delivered to you via courier internationally or from local retailers.

Like you see, there is no element of chance in the bidding process. You are competing against other people and whether your bid ends up winning or not is completely determined by other users“ choices, if they outbid you or not.

Some of our users have even taken it further and developed strategies and tactics for their bidding. Some only bid at night, while others go after the auctions early in the morning when the competition is low. Some watch the auctions closely and determine how many people are competing for a specific item before bidding themselves. Some even use sneaky psychology on the competition by choosing a specific username or by immediately outbidding others to make them grow tired of the auction.

Responsible bidding.

Now, while true that it is possible to participate in Sharky Bids auctions and end up spending money in bids and not actually buying an item off the site, the overall amount that you lose is usually quite small. However, this is the reason why we encourage all of our users to use the site in a responsible manner and why we only allow people 18+ to participate in these auctions.

Sharky Bids is meant to be fun.

You will find by asking most of our users that they have a great time on the site competing for the bargains in the fast paced auction environment that we provide. Even those that might end up losing some money, usually leave with a smile on their face and a good night of bargain hunting.

It may not be for everyone, but a lot of people really enjoy the experience and nearly all the big spenders end up winning some crazy bargains on the site.

We have been featured on several radio interviews across America and elsewhere during the past few months and a lot of users have sent us video testimonials of the items they have won.

All the items are brand new and we ship them out internationally or from local retailers of winners country

At the moment, clearly our best marketing effort has been to get as many different people winning as possible, as this has sparked a wave of new users to the site.
We frequently ask our users "how did you hear about us?" and we often times get the reply "a friend won an iPod off the site for $ 3.45 " or "I know a guy who has a friend who got a TV for $16.49 off the site."

I hope that you all familiarize yourself with the site, and feel free to contact our friendly support team at anytime if you have any questions.
